My name is Mark Bennett and my career in stationery and design all began while working in the family business. My parents started a local printing company in a small Texas town in 1965. While other kids my age were playing ball outside, I was working with imaginary brides inside to help them create their perfect wedding invitation. Funny how things turn out, as I am still playing stationery store thirty plus years later, but now I work with real life clients, putting all that creative energy into their projects and loving every second of it.
While growing up in the family business, I gained much of my early knowledge in the industry while working there. I spent many days after school learning the ins and outs and gaining so much knowledge first hand. I have such fond memories of those days and will cherish them always.
Because of my education, creative interests and extensive design background, I spent many years with a national stationery retailer expanding my expertise in the field. I’m very comfortable working with all varieties of clients and budgets. Whether designing something specifically for a client or for my product line, I draw inspiration from all art mediums and stay on top of all trends in style, color and design.
I made the decision that I wanted to follow in the footsteps of my family and continue the tradition of starting my own business. This gives me the ability to spend my time and energy solely on my clients and on building an exciting line.
I enjoy my custom clients and have fun getting to know them and sharing in their events and interests. It’s important to me to build a relationship that shows my attention to detail with each project. While designing something specific to their needs, this makes the overall process a fun one for not only my client but for myself as well. It’s very important to me to make your experience a memorable one for us all. Creating something special for my custom clients is like creating a small piece of art for me every day!
As for the name Zorah, well, it was my Grandmothers name and I always remember her for being so welcoming to me as a child, that I believed it fit perfectly as a tribute to her when starting this business. I hope that you will welcome me into your life’s events as well, and I look forward to being a part of your lives as you go through many chapters in the years to come.
